Hello my name is Carlos Ramirez and I am part of the millennial generation and here are a few words from this generations point of view. Debt, War on terror, Selfies, Apocalypse, Britney Spears, Social Media, Hashtag, Equality, Kardashians, Blogs, Human Rights, Corporate Power, Identity Crises, Veganism, tuition, experimental music, sex, going green, instant-gratification, body positivity, political correctness, queer, rape culture, independent, racial profiling, Netflix, music festivals, Feminism, filters, Apple, twerking, digital media, emojis, culture appropriation, Harry Potter, texting, self-centered, high sense of entitlement, Selfish, spoiled and unemployed These are just a few words from the millennial generation. Statement: The most challenging aspect of this project was the process on bringing all of the elements together such as my usage of words that would match a photograph and of course a song to use as a soundtrack, but I really had to choose wisely! Because this is how I view this generation, my generation! I used an 8-bit soundtrack (almost sounds like Mario nintendo soundtrack which would tie in the 1980's but I used a contemporary 2000's song which was an experiemntal artist Grimes and thought how it really fit the timeframe of our generation. Thank you! |

Reflection:
This lesson plan covered the traditional Shibori Arashi fabric dying process. This slideshow will present the materials, some definition terms and inspirational photographs. The most challenging part about this project was really simplifying the brochure, keeping myself on the powerpoint to a limit slideshows so the presentation wouldn't keep dragging on. Besides that, this was a great intro on the general idea on how to create a brochure, a handout that corresponds with the powerpoint and what kind of question I might ask in a self assessment paper. |

Reflection:
I thought that this was a very approachable art plan for my future students with a usage of an app that incorporates animation as a work of art for a new media that we might have not learned in class. The hardest part about this project was simply just bringing all the thought processes together with a lesson plan and trying to follow certain guidelines. Overall I see this as a working project. |

Reflection: This was an exciting project! Overall, I learned when you photograph multiple movements it creates a moving picture. This animation was inspired by the spooky month of October. The haunting music and the little girl transforming creates a fun self portrait. I hope you enjoy it because I did! The only thing that was difficult was that my partner and I footage got deleted and we had to recreate this entire film all over again. That was very frustrating! But overall, because of my mistakes I was able to create the work even better the second time around.

Reflection:
I loved this project and here is why! I was able to actually understand how to slow down and create a step-by-step process (Like if I was actually in a classroom) this really helped me understand how fast I actually spoke and learned to slow down so that everyone would be able to understand me. Overall, I enjoyed doing this Acid Dye. Purchase Dye: The link is at the end that you can purchase the dye from. If those Acid dyes are expensive for you, you can look up natural dyes (from nature) and dye your fabric with as well! If you have any questions please email me at [email protected].. Thank you! |
